Ronald E. Kolka

Senior Managing Director and Principal

Chief Financial Officer


Ronald E. Kolka spent twenty three years working at Chrysler Corporation ultimately advancing to Executive Vice President and CFO and member of the "Office of the Chairman". He was responsible for all global financial operations of the business, including business development, information technology, and he chaired the Operations Planning Committee. His experience included many cross functional assignments in sales and marketing, manufacturing, supply chain management, as well as expatriate assignments in both Asia and Europe.

Subsequent to Chrysler, Ron joined the Cerberus Operations and Advisory Company (COAC) in late 2009, where he worked as a "Senior Operations Executive". His responsibilities included working with the portfolio companies to improve operational efficiency. He was a member of the board of directors of four companies, ranging from manufacturing to financial. Most recently, he worked as the CFO and member of the board for the Remington Outdoor Company.

Ron has an MBA from Wayne State University and an undergraduate degree in accounting from Michigan State University.

 

 William B. Hazard

Senior Operating Executive

Global Head of Manufacturing and Industrial Operations


Mr. Hazard has over 20 years of experience in operations and strategy and is an experienced leader with proven results.  He has had operational responsibility for 10+ different companies being able to align leadership teams and demonstrate significant operational improvement. 

Currently Mr. Hazard is a Senior Operating Executive and Head of Industrials at Aegis Capital Advisors, LLC, a merchant bank, which acquires and operates middle market companies.  In addition to his roles with Aegis, he is also President of Novo Partners and Novo Precision LLC. 

Mr. Hazard was Vice President of Operations of Remington Outdoor Company where he had operational responsibility for seven different companies.  In this role he was responsible for multiple acquisitions where he had responsibility for operational diligence, developed the operational investment thesis, managed the integration of the company, and had day to day management in several of the companies.  Prior to this he was COO of Para USA, which was a distressed turnaround and managed sale of a business to Remington. 

Before operating businesses Mr. Hazard spent 15 years in driving operational excellence in roles of Vice President of Operational Excellence and Consultant.  He was a member of Cerberus Capital Management?s Operations Team for three years, spent 9 years as a consultant working with Yomo Consulting, and 4 years focused on manufacturing operations with Arthur Andersen.  He has worked with many Fortune 500 and mid-market companies both domestically and internationally to improve their operations.  These were very hands on and shop floor focused roles where he worked hands on with client and members of Toyota?s Operational Leadership in improving operations.

Mr. Hazard received an MS in Operations Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1997 and a BA in Math & Economics from Lafayette College in 1993.

Mr. Hazard is 44 and resides in South Glastonbury, CT with his wife Kirsten and their three children Justin, Kate, and Drew.

 

Javid Arain

Senior Operating Executive

Global Head of Analytics


Mr. Arain is an analytics professional with deep thought leadership in digital, social, offline, media, mobile, omni-channel analysis, ?Big Data?, CRM, Business Intelligence, strategy & statistics. He has been a consultant for many of the Fortune 100 companies and has played a significant role at the C-Suite level (and below) for them. He has deep experience in digital ecosystems, maximizing performance of media halos, social media & integrated marketing campaigns. He has cross-industry knowledge base in E-commerce, measurement roadmaps, dashboards, data governance & data warehouse design. He has a track-record in utilizing integrated analytics, data strategy to drive insights that maximize business results.

He was formerly Chief Analytics Officer at Ackerman McQueen, where he built the analytic function at agency ? managing/mentoring teams for all analytic, business intelligence, CRM engagements & business development. He created customized analytics for proprietary client technology/video content platforms to optimize subscription & marketing ROI. He formulated social media sentiment tracking that correlated to clients? business results.

Clients include Google, Disney, EA Games, Bank of America, IBM, Pfizer, Merck, Microsoft, Sanofi Aventis, GM, Eli Lilly, Abbott, Citibank, HSBC, HBO, Nestle, P&G, Lowes, Chrysler, Delta Airways, Charles Schwab, Cabela?s, Cisco, LL Bean, American Express, Allegra, Time Warner, Cablevision, Motorola, L?Oréal, Blue Cross/Shield, American Fidelity, VW.
He is highly digital, data warehouse and data literate and has multivariate, A/B testing, web/social media measurement analysis expertise.

Javid has an MBA from London Business School with concentrations in strategy, marketing, analytics, branding & change management. He completed his consulting thesis for Edward Jones on international entrance strategy, Marketing & Data-Driven Marketing. He has an undergraduate BSc with Honors in Computer Science from the University of London.
Javid lives in Edmond, OK with his wife and 2 daughters.

 

Ben Madden

Senior Operating Executive

Global Head of Digital and Print Media


Mr. Madden is also the COO of Force 12 Media, a digital publication company focused on original military and outdoor content.  Prior to that Ben was Chief Revenue Officer of Scout Media, a male lifestyle destination with a portfolio of brands for  every major college, NFL and MLB team, plus hunting, fishing and other sports.  Prior to Scout, Ben was President of Maxim Magazine and its associated online content.  Ben also held positions at Readers Digest and Time.

 

James J. Pike

Senior Operating Executive


 Mr. James J. Pike is an Industry Executive in manufacturing with more than 30 years of experience in operations, marketing, mergers and acquisitions.

Currently Mr. Pike is Chairman of the Board of CTA Acoustics, Inc, Madison Heights, Michigan, which is a full-service automotive supplier.

In addition to his role at CTA Acoustics, Mr. Pike is Chairman and CEO for VHC Inc., a Winchester, Indiana based machinery manufacturer for the glass industry, he was also Chairman and Chief Executive officer to Thermafiber, Colfor Manufacturing and Valley Cold Forge and President of Ganton Technologies, The above mentioned companies are Cerberus affiliated. Mr. Pike joined Cerberus in 1997 as the first operations executive.

From 1972 until 1997, Mr. Pike was an executive with Masco/MascoTech. He left the company as a Vice President after 25 years. Mr. Pike is an alumnus of Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky where he majored in business and serves on the Board of trustees. He is active in numerous civic, educational and business organizations. He served on the Board of the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology, Alamo and National Rental Car as well as Vice Chairman of the Board at Remington Outdoor Company. He is a past Chairman and Trustee for the Foundation for Educational Opportunities, The Detroit Symphony, The Detroit Institute of Arts, The Grosse Pointe Yacht Club, and Past Commodore of the Old Club.

Mr. Pike is an Environmentalist/Conservationist and has been a member of Ducks Unlimited (DU) since 1968 and served on the National Board. He is married and lives in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, and Bonita Springs, Florida with his wife Patti. The couple has two sons and five daughters.
